Father's Day Gift Ideas For Children

Father's Day is fast approaching. This year Father's Day is on June 17th. Traditionally Father's Day is a day to show your Dad how much you appreciate everything that he does he for you. There are several different things that you can do for Dad this year to make it something special that he is sure to remember. Here are some craft ideas that my children and I have came up with this year for Father's Day this year.

1. You can make Dad a coupon book of items that you would like to do for Dad. You can either make a special coupon book by hand or you can even print one out. To make your gift extra special for dad, give him his gift in a special handmade Father's Day Card. If you would like to print some coupons out you can visit About.com: Family Crafts. They offer some really great ideas. You can print out coupons for the following:

Back Rub Coupon
Big Hug Coupon
Breakfast In Bed Coupon
Car Wash Coupon
Control Of The Remote Coupon
Doing The Dishes Coupon
Dusting Coupon
Garden Weeding Coupon
Mow The Lawn Coupon
Movie Night Coupon
One Hour Of Silence Coupon
Raking Coupon
Take Out The Trash Coupon
Undisturbed Nap Coupon
Vacuuming Coupon
Walk The Dog Coupon
Blank Coupon

Some additional ideas for Coupons could be:

Car Wash Coupon
Clean Out The Garage Coupon
Hugs And Kisses Coupon
Load Of Laundry Coupon
Clear The Table Coupon
Make The Bed Coupon
Go To Bed Coupon
Be Good Coupon
Favorite Chair Coupon
Watch The Football Game Coupon

You can choose anything that you think Dad would like for his coupon book. You can be as creative as you like. You can even decorate Dad's Coupon Book. If you would like, you can even make a great Coupon Book cover out of construction paper or scrapbook paper.

2. Make a Handmade Craft For Dad. There are several ideas online for making a Homemade Craft. You can look at Kids Domain Crafts - Father's Day Crafts. They offer instructions for the several craft ideas. Some of our favorites are the following:

Dad and Me Fishing Shirts
Sports Ball Key Change
Father's Day Sticker Cards
Dad's Baseball Frame
Business Card Holder
Father and Child T-Shirts
Hand Print Poem (We use finger paints and make a hand print in a paper plate. Next we print, cut, and glue the poem to the plate. Then we decorate the rim of the plate.)
Poems for Dad
Popsicle Stick Picture Frame

Kids and Parents feel free to share any additional ideas that you may have. I wish you all a Happy Father's Day.
